Leadership 

As an old congregation with a new start, Shalom UCC has had the opportunity to invent anew our organization for ministry.  The vision that came to us, at our first retreat as Shalom, is the image of the circle.  We have adopted Ministry Circles as our design for conducting our ministry and living our faith in community.  This design reflects our commitment to shared leadership, and our recognition that among Shalom's members there is indeed a rich variety of gifts for ministry and wisdom in the diversity of our voices.  

The governing group is our Leadership Circle. Leadership Circle members are: Carol Wade, Coordinator; Allie Perry, Worship Coordinator; Murray Harrison and Charlie Pillsbury, Co-Treasurers; Barbara Greten, Frank Mitchell, Patty Nuelsen, and Jean Webb.  Leadership Circle meets monthly usually on the fourth Tuesday of the month; during Covid we are meeting by Zoom. Leadership Circle meetings are open to all.  

Shalom's weekly liturgies are planned by the Worship Circle.  Current Worship Circle members are: Gail Figliola, Marian Farrah, Allie Perry, Carol Wade, Jean Webb, Caroline Murphy, and Dave Yoshida.  Worship Circle meets several times a year to reflect on Shalom's worship experience, to plan for the upcoming liturgical season, and to develop the calendar for worship planners.
